Many of the sumi and mixed media drawings included in Alan Lau's Blues and Greens:  A Produce Worker's Journal were on view in the upstairs gallery. The book of poems and drawings is Lau's reflection or meditation on his experiences working in the produce department of Uwajimaya market in downtown Seattle.  Both customers and produce are featured in these quick but "to the point" sketches.  Copies of the book, published by the University of Hawaii Press are available for purchase at the gallery.   Prices for these works range from $300 to $1,200.
